Notes:
This lighthouse is at the end of a pier at the entrance to the Saugeen River. It is virtually identical to the rear range light, which is located on a hill about 2,200 feet behind the front range. This lighthouse also exhibits the Saugeen Light, a fixed white light with a focal plane of 36 feet. The Saugeen Light is visible in all directions on the lake while the range light is visible in the range line only.

Height of Focal Plane: 34

Characteristic and Range: Fixed green.

Description of Tower: White, square pyramidal wooden tower with red trim, red vertical stripe facing range line.

Date Present Tower Built: 1903

Fog Signal: 3 second blast every 20 seconds.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.

Rankin Street, off Highway 21 in Southampton, leads to the Saugeen River range Lights.
