Notes: This waveswept tower was built on a submerged reef. The Scottish granite was cut over the winter and the tower was built over four summers. The engineers were David Stevenson and Thomas Stevenson. One of the keepers was injured in a fire in 1960 and the light was automated the following year. Tower Height: 144 Height of Focal Plane: 124 Characteristic and Range: White flash every 5 seconds, range 13 nautical miles. Description of Tower: Conical granite tower.
