John W. Wetzel had been an assistant keeper for 14 years at the Whaleback (Whale Back) Lighthouse on the Maine-New Hampshire border when this photograph was taken in 1911. Prior to that time he was the keeper of the range lights at Henderson’s Point on the Piscataqua River in New Hampshire.
We are looking for additional information on Mr. Wetzel and photographs and historical information of the Henderson’s Point Range Lights. If any of our readers can help us, please write to Editor, Lighthouse Digest, P.O. Box 1690, Wells, Maine, 04090.
