Notes:
Grande Île in the Chausey Islands is linked to Granville and Saint Malo by ferry. This lighthouse was severely damaged by German bombing in March 1945. The light was reactivated in 1950.

Height of Focal Plane: 128

Characteristic and Range: White flash every 5 seconds, visible for 23 nautical miles.

Description of Tower: Square stone tower attached to the rear of a two-story stone dwelling.

Date Established: 1847

Date Present Tower Built: 1846-47

Date Deactivated: 1945-50

Fog Signal: Horn, one blast every 30 seconds.

Current Use: Active aid to navigation.
