Notes: Lake Simcoe is part of the Trent-Severn Waterway, a system of rivers, lakes and canals that joins Lake Ontario (at Trenton, on the Bay of Quinte) and Lake Huron (near Victoria Harbour, in Severn Sound, Georgian Bay). The waterway was used for commercial shipping (lumber, etc.) as well as passenger steamboats in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, it is used exclusively by pleasure craft.
