Notes: Urk, once an island in the Zuiderzee, has been joined to the mainland since the 1930s, and the lighthouse now stands on the east shore of the IJsselmeer. The lighthouse was restored in 1972 and was declared a national monument in 1981. Tower Height: 61 Height of Focal Plane: 89 Characteristic and Range: White flash every 5 seconds, visible for 18 nautical miles. Description of Tower: White conical brick tower with red lantern.
