The Chesapeake Chapter of the U.S. Lighthouse Society recently donated an outdoor placard of the history of Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse at the Thomas Point Park in Annapolis, Maryland near where the two previous onshore Thomas Point Lighthouses once stood.
The current Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, restored by the Chesapeake Chapter, can be seen offshore in the distance (circled) from where the placard was installed. Park Ranger David Burman is shown here, in a photo by Park Ranger Eric Rule, accepting the placard on behalf of Anne Arundel County, which paid for its installation.
