This past June 30th a 100 year Birthday Celebration was held at the Lime Kiln Lighthouse, which in 1919 became the last major lighthouse to be built in the state of Washington.

Festivities included speakers from the U.S. Coast Guard and Washington State Parks, a lighthouse cake contest, a silent auction, and a raffle.

According to Erin Corra, founder of the Friends of Lime Kiln Society, the Lime Kiln State Park, where the lighthouse is located, receives around 350,000 visitors annually.
