Shown here are some old images from the archives of Lighthouse Digest. Unfortunately, the names of the people in these images have been lost in the pages of time. It’s a real shame that no one at the time bothered to record the names of the people in these images or even ask them about their memories or any rescues that they might have been involved in and then write that information down. Generally speaking, there are many more photos of men in the Life Saving Service who are unidentified than in its sister organization, the U.S. Lighthouse Service. We wonder how many photos taken in this day and age will someday in the future have the same sad outcome.
