After attending the annual Open House at Michigan's Round Island Lighthouse no one minded that they had to wait for a boat ride for the return trip. Why would they? They had perfect weather and got to visit a famous lighthouse that is otherwise not open to the public.
According to the thank you note that we received from the Round Island Lighthouse Preservation Society over half of the people who attended read about the event in the pages of Lighthouse Digest, which makes us happy. We always try to help every lighthouse group in any way possible.
