Ownership of West Point Lighthouse in Seattle Washington was officially transferred from the United States Coast Guard to the City of Seattle in ceremonies held at the lighthouse.
The lighthouse, built in 1881, is a near duplicate of Point No Point Lighthouse, which is located in Washington State. West Point Lighthouse is located in Discovery Park, which is managed by the Seattle Parks & Recreation Department.
