From time to time we come across old photographs of lighthouse keepers, but we have no idea who the people in the photos are. Although they wrote the date of October 1927 on the back of this photo, apparently they thought they would live forever or thought that their descendants would know who they were. If they had only written their names on the back the photos they would have at least preserved a small slice of maritime history.
