The children at Estevan Point Lighthouse, British Columbia are in awe of Santa’s visit to their remote lighthouse home. In 1942 the lighthouse was shelled by a Japanese submarine; a frightening event for the lighthouse keepers and their families. The first order lens from the Estevan Point Lighthouse is now at the Sooke Region Historical Society in Sooke, BC. 1968 photograph by M. Borrelly Back to the edition of: December 2008
