The ladies and the man are all dressed up for the boat trip from Wind Point Lighthouse to Racine, Wisconsin, perhaps to attend Sunday church services. On the bow of the boat is a flag with a lighthouse. This was not the official flag of the Lighthouse Service and may have been something that the keepers or their wives made. Also, on the side of the front of the boat you can again clearly see a small brass lighthouse that had been affixed to the vessel. (Photo courtesy the Bevry family.)
