This 1914 photograph of the Wind Point Lighthouse shows an immense regard for patriotism as a giant flag of the United States of America was prominently flying at the lighthouse. The letters naming the station were glaringly displayed on the shoreline. Although there was a road to the lighthouse from town, the light station had a boat and a boat house because most supplies arrived at the lighthouse via boat. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
