Veteran lighthouse keeper Frederick L. Harrington served as the lighthouse keeper at California’s Trinidad Head Lighthouse for 28 years, from 1888 to 1916. He had previously served at Cape Mendocino Lighthouse from 1882 to 1885, and at the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse from 1886 to 1888. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
