Photo Caption:

This vintage image of Burnt Coat Harbor Lighthouse was taken when the bell tower was still standing. At one time there were two lighthouses at Burnt Coat Harbor. The bell tower was erected on the site where the Burnt Coat Front Range Lighthouse once stood. In 1884 the Front Range Light was discontinued and pushed into the ocean. Subsequently, the fog bell tower was built in its place. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
