Dillon’s first stop on his inspection trip, shortly after arriving to Puerto Rico in 1920, was to visit Arecibo Lighthouse, about 50 miles west of San Juan on the island. The captain of the tender remarked that once you see one lighthouse on the island, you’ve seen them all, because of their similar construction. Back to the edition of: Mar/Apr 2023
