The rusted Port Washington Breakwater Lighthouse needs some tender-loving care. Sadly, the lantern was removed many years ago. The structure is a twin to the Indian Harbor East Breakwater Lighthouse in Indiana. It is also similar in design to the Huron Harbor Lighthouse, which is also known as the Huron Harbor West Breakwater Lighthouse, on Lake Erie in Huron, Ohio, and the Keweenaw Waterway Upper Entrance Lighthouse, which is also known as the Portage Lake Ship Canal Lighthouse, on Lake Superior near Houghton, Michigan.
