In 2015, Russell Lane Sr. (l) and Dave Gamage (r) returned to Whitehead Island Lighthouse to reminisce about the 1958 rescue. Sadly, Russell Lane, Sr. passed away on November 27, 2017. Standing in the middle is Russell Lane’s son, Russie, who produced a film about his father titled, Looking for a Hero, which was voted the Audience Favorite at the 2016 International Maritime Film Festival.
