Adriel U. Bird was a noted aviation enthusiast and pioneer of executive use of airplanes for business. He frequently utilized Flying Santa William H. Wincapaw to pilot him on his business trips in addition to sponsoring Wincapaw’s annual Flying Santa flights. This 1936 photo shows Wincapaw’s Flying Santa float plane from that year with La Touraine Coffee sponsorship painted on its side.
