Alan L. Bird, Adriel Bird’s uncle, was most likely the first one outside the Wincapaw family to help drop the Flying Santa packages to lighthouse keepers since he was on the second flight in 1930. Alan was a famous lawyer during that time in the Rockland area of Maine.
