This nondescript beacon serves today as the Rochester Harbor East Pier Light, which is also called the Genesee East Pier Light. It is much different than the real lighthouse that once stood there. On the other pier, and not worthy of having a photo shown, is a round cylindrical tower that looks more like a ship’s smokestack or large pipe and is nothing like a lighthouse structure that we are all so familiar with.
