The lighthouse tender Snowdrop was the smallest of the regular lighthouse tenders at only 65 feet. Constructed in 1896, it was used mostly in the sixth and seventh lighthouse districts until 1922 when it was decommissioned and subsequently sold. These January 1918 photos, taken at the Municipal Wharf in Florida, show the damage done by a fire to the cabin and upper deck. The tender was repaired and put back into service the following year.
