The side entry door of the keeper’s house at Fort Point Lighthouse once featured the emblem logo of the United States Light House Service (U.S.L.H.S.) that was made by Terry Cole who was the lighthouse keeper there from 1973 to 1976 and who has been living at the lighthouse since 1989 as the manager of the Fort Point State Park. It is no longer there, having been removed due to weather and age and is now inside the tower. (2001 photo) Back to the edition of: Jul/Aug 2018
