These two images show the derrick scow USLHS No 1 in 1918 working on the construction of the Keweenaw Waterway Lower Entrance Lighthouse at the entrance to the Portage River in Lake Huron near Jacobsville, Michigan. The lighthouse being constructed would replace the 1868 lighthouse shown standing next to the lighthouse tender.
