Undated aerial view of the Destruction Island Lighthouse. The Fresnel lens was removed from the tower in 1995 and is now on display at the Westport Maritime Museum in Westport, Washington. In 2008 the Coast Guard discontinued the Destruction Island Lighthouse. It may soon end up on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List of Endangered Lighthouses. (Courtesy Nautical Research Center.)
