Húsavík Lighthouse The Húsavík Lighthouse, located on the northern coast of Iceland, is not what most of us consider a regular looking lighthouse. It is located in a fishing village on the east side of Skjálfandi Bay, touted as the whale watching capital of Iceland. It is a 39 foot semicircular cylindrical concrete tower painted yellow which stands on a hill on the north side of Húsavík Harbor. The light flashes every 2.5 seconds.
