Racine Reef Lighthouse covered in a thick layer of ice. This was one of the images that inspired artist Virginia Souza of Wells, Maine to paint her image of the lighthouse that appeared on the cover of the December issue of Lighthouse Digest, titled "Spirit of Lighthouses Past." The lighthouse looks like a regal ice castle in this photograph and reminds many of a scene from the classic 1965 movie epic Doctor Zhivago starring Omar Sharif.
