Estella Franz (l) and Joy Theut accept a check for the Middle Island Lighthouse from Carl Jahn as part of the festival's sharing program. Estella Franz and her late husband Bob contributed many hours of work over the years at Middle Island Lighthouse. Bob did nearly all the welding projects that needed to be done on the island. Joy is the wife of Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival cofounder Marv Theut.
