Notes:
This lighthouse stands within Hiawatha National Forest. The station has been beautifully restored and there is a museum in the keeper's house. Volunteer caretakers live in an apartment at the lighthouse year-round.

Museum?
The keeper's house now contains exhibits showing what lighthouse life was like. You can also climb the spiral staircase to the top of the tower, and there is a boardwalk/trail that leads to the lake. The museum, lighthouse and gift shop are open during the summer from Memorial Day through October 15. Hours: Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

Directions:
Follow M-221 to Lake Superior in Brimley, then turn left at 6 Mile Road. Continue as the road becomes Lakeshore Drive and follow to the lighthouse, where there is plenty of parking.
