This lighthouse is on an artificial island; it was built on top of a dangerous submerged rock.

Description of Tower: White, conical cast iron tower.

Optics: Sixth order Fresnel lens, now solar powered.

Current Use: Private aid to navigation.

Directions:
The lighthouse can be seen from the shore of Alexandria Bay, including a pier at the end of St. James Street. Bill Edwards describes another viewing location: "Take Route 12, go west on Walton St, north on 2nd St., follow it to the end at the tennis courts. You'll be surrounded by hotels and the boatyard. On the other end of the tennis courts, you'll be right by the shore with a great shot of the light & Boldt Castle."
