This light was planned and built at the same time as the Stavseng Lighthouse, with this light serving as a front (leading) light and Stavseng serving as the rear light.

Characteristic and Range: White or red light depending on direction, occulting once every 6 seconds; range 10 nautical miles.

Description of Tower: Granite tower with wooden upper portion built into end of wooden keeper's dwelling.
