Notes:
A lightship served at this location from 1875 to 1962. In the early 1990s the deteriorating tower was dismantled and the scrap became part of an artificial reef known as Shinnecock Reef.

Tower Height: 87

Characteristic and Range: Two white flashes every 10 seconds.

Description of Tower: Six-foot tower rising from roof of red, square enclosed deck standing on four cross-braced steel legs.

This light is not operational

Date Established: 1962

Date Deactivated: 1989

Fog Signal: Two diaphragm-type Leslie Typhones with three-second blasts every 60 seconds.

Current Use: Destroyed.
