In 1969 the light was reduced to a minor aid and was relocated outside the lantern room. In July 1977 the optic was moved back inside the lantern room. Tower Height: 66 Height of Focal Plane: 86 Characteristic and Range: White flash every 6 seconds. Description of Tower: White concrete cylindrical tower attached to oil house. Listed on the Lighthouse Digest Doomsday List of endangered lighthouses.
