Notes:
Hurricanes in 1926 and 1932 did a great deal of damage to this lighthouse station. The lighthouse and other buildings were being restored; the light was relit as an aid to navigation in 1999. The restoration was scheduled to be finished by the fall of 2002. For unknown reasons, the restoration of the lighthouse stalled and the lighthouse was eventually sold. No maintenance has been done on the lighthouse since 2000 and the light in the tower has stopped working.
