Intrepid volunteers from the Delaware Bay River & Bay Lighthouse Foundation started the massive undertaking of painting the 1926 Harbor of Refuge Lighthouse in Lewes, Delaware. Their goal, through several site visits, was to get the lighthouse painted before the winter months set in.
Their first paint trip on August 18, 2017 was well organized, and the group’s president, Red Moulinier had a plan to stage volunteers at each level to accomplish as much as possible during that first visit. This was no easy task. They are all to be congratulated for their dedication to preserving this historic lighthouse.
