This past September 18th, the West Quoddy Head Light Keeper’s Association honored Dr. Deane Hutchins by naming the light keeper’s room at the lighthouse in his honor.
Dr. Hutchins is one of the original founders of the group, and he led the way in converting the former keeper’s house at West Quoddy Head Lighthouse into a Visitor’s Center that is now visited by thousands of people every year.
The event was attended by members of the original founding group,other close friends. and current members of the Board of Trustees of the West Quoddy Head Light Keepers Association.
West Quoddy Head Lighthouse is the easternmost lighthouse on the continental Atlantic Coast of the United States of America.
