The Wind Point Lighthouse diorama.

Now on display at the Real Racine Visitor Centre in Racine, Wisconsin is a diorama of Wisconsin’s Wind Point Lighthouse that was made by volunteers Jim Erven and Jim Charnon.

The two craftsmen meticulously created the 5-foot by 3-foot diorama to show the lighthouse station, the tallest on the Great Lakes, as it once appeared in the 1920s. For authenticity, the exquisite detail even includes actual pebbles collected from the Lake Michigan shoreline.

The men are to be congratulated for their efforts to create something that will be enjoyed for generations to follow.
