We had originally planned to announce the winners of the recent Lighthouse Digest photo contest in this issue. However, we have delayed announcing the photo contest winners until the next issue because it has always been our policy to put one of the first place winning photos on the cover of Lighthouse Digest. But, because we always put one of Virginia Souza’s whimsical holiday lighthouse paintings on the cover of the holiday issue, something that we have now done for 17 straight years, the photo contest winners have been delayed until the January/February edition.
We apologize for any confusion and hope that in the spirit of the season that you will appreciate the delay. Although, we do have to say that the entries to the recent photo contest contain some of the best selection of photos that have ever been submitted and the judging was extremely difficult. We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving, a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
