Many people took a risk by walking on the ice at Michigan’s Grand Haven Pier Lighthouses. News reports indicated that three people fell through the ice in Grand Haven. Fortunately, all were rescued. But, the ice shelf near piers and the shore may not always be as thick as most people think and more often than not, they were risking their lives and those who might have to try and save them.
