President Bush has nominated Vice Admiral Thomas H. Collins to be the next Commandant of the United States Coast Guard.
If confirmed the Stoughton, MA native will become the 22md Commandant of the United States Coast Guard.
Collins has a distinctive service record having served in many positions and areas of the Coast Guard including Commander of the Pacific area. He is a recipient of the Distinguished Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal and the Coast Guard Commendation Medal.
