Back on land, the ALF inspection team took some time to chat with Neil Corbett who lived at the lighthouse when his father was the keeper. Corbertt is on the left and on the right is Ken Black of ALF and founder of the Shore Village Lighthouse Museum in Rockland. Ken remembers the lighthouse station well. When he first visited the station, as Coast Guard CO, there was no electricity, with light provided by propane and coal used for heat. Shortly after, electricity was brought to the island.
