The ALF inspection team found the nearly mile walk on the boardwalk from the boathouse to the lighthouse treacherous. Numerous trees had fallen over the walkway, which came down during the winter ice storms. The boardwalk itself was also dangerous; protected from sunlight it was often too slippery to walk on and the team had to hike through ankle-deep mud. Back to the edition of: June 2000
