President Warren G. Harding (l), the 29th President of the United States, is shown leaving his train in San Francisco just a few hours before he boarded the United States Lighthouse Service tender Sequoia to review the greatest assemblage of Merchant Marine Ships ever assembled. It was to be his last official duty as president. He died two days later, having served only three years as president. The cause of his death is still debated by conspiracy theorists.
