Wealthy Ellen Wormell, the daughter of Ebenezer “Eben” Wormell, the keeper of West Quoddy Head Lighthouse from 1849 to 1851, was the 2nd wife of Loring Foss Leavitt who was the keeper of West Quoddy Head Lighthouse from 1855 to 1857, and later the assistant keeper from 1861 to 1867.
