Edwin M. Wyman suffered a great deal of loss in his life. Besides his cousin William H.H. with whom he worked so closely as a fellow keeper, he lost his young wife Rose, his 28 year-old son Arthur in World War I and his brother, Captain Charles D. Wyman, who was murdered while at sea on his ship the Glendower, in 1911. (Courtesy of Susan Allbritton)
