Inside the gigantic lantern of the Rock of Ages Lighthouse are volunteers Kim Croliss, David Gerth, Heather Gerth, and Steven Lein. It’s always a good place to take a break and enjoy the view. In 1985 the massive Fresnel lens was removed from the tower and placed on display at the Windigo Visitor Center in Isle Royale National Park. The lantern now has a modern optic.
