The Cove Point Lighthouse in Lusby, Maryland where Charles L. Sadler served as an assistant keeper from 1944 to 1953. In a 1953 interview with reporter Helen Delich of the Baltimore Sun, keeper Sadler said that although Cove Point Lighthouse was a great light station to serve at because he could have more time with his family, he preferred to be stationed out in the water. He got his wish later that same year when he was sent to serve at Windmill Point Lighthouse in the Chesapeake Bay. The Cove Point Lighthouse is now managed by the Calvert Marine Museum.
