Lucy Woodward with her dog Bruno from a photo taken at Manana Island Fog Signal Station when her father, William H. Woodward, was in charge of the station while also being the keeper at nearby Monhegan Island Light Station before he transferred in 1937 to the Doubling Point Range Lights. Tragically, in 1938 at the age of 10, Lucy Woodward drowned at the lighthouse. (Lighthouse Digest archives.)
